Estacion de Cortes de la Frontera, also known as La Cañada, is situated on the Guadiaro river in the foothills of the Ronda mountains and is on a train route which goes through Andalucia with connections to the rest of Spain.This railway station village is only 9km away from the main village of Cortes de la Frontera, just a short drive from the village of Gaucin and the town of Ronda and only about an hour's drive from the Costa del Sol.
It is a perfect spot for nature lovers; the Guadiaro river is teeming with aquatic wildlife and the surrounding hills, forests and meadows are home to many species of birds and other animals. Nearby is the Cortes de la Frontera Nature Reserve which forms a part of the Los Alcornocales Park.
